DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & SYSTEMS

Hoffman Homes for Youth is a private, non-profit, psychiatric residential treatment facility for emotionally and behaviorally troubled children located just outside Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The principles of trauma-informed care and Sanctuary® are applied. Psychiatrists, therapists, and direct-care staff (Mental Health Workers & Mental Health Aides) provide comprehensive psychiatric care and behavioral health treatment to children and their families. Creative therapies (Pet, Horticulture, Horsemanship, and Art) are utilized as alternative methods of building healthy emotional connections.  An on-site school, The Hoffman Academy, allows for an attentive educational program combined with a therapeutic component.
Hoffman Homes, Inc. is accepting applicants for the Director of Information Technology & Systems.  This position oversees the technology needs of HH.  This individual evaluates, monitors and supports technology resources and systems so that they are strategically aligned with  the goals and mission of HH.  The Director of Information Technology focuses on the implementation of effective IT methods for all HH programs, while maintaining a fiscally- responsible budget.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
•Oversee the installation and support of all IT-related systems and resources to include networks, software, internet, intranet, communication systems, electronic office equipment and electronic educational equipment.
•Evaluate the technology needs of the Hoffman Academy; Prioritize tasks based upon necessity with consideration of an August 2015 opening.
•Identify methods to store, access and transmit data effectively and securely.
• Maintain an on-call schedule/status with  members of the IT-department so that IT issues may be resolved outside of normal business hours.
The Director of Information Technology & Systems is a full-time position with benefits. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, within an IT-related field of study, is required.  Clearances, as designated by the PA Child Protective Service Law, PA Department of Human Services, and the PA Department of Education, will be processed.
The following experience is desired:
•One year of experience as an IT specialist within an organization.  Additional consideration will be given to applicants with experience in an education or healthcare setting.
•Experience with running a Macintosh-based platform with Apple devices.
•Experience with Mobile Device Management Solutions, Learning Management Systems and Electronic Medical Records.
