Light/Dark Stealth Mechanic Part Two


Tyler again. If you recall, I’m working on demonstrating a light/dark stealth mechanic using the recently Open-Sourced, Godot Engine, developed by Okam Studios. My goal is to demonstrate the use of shadows and cover to avoid detection from an enemy of sorts; similar to Mark of the Ninja or Stealth Inc.

Recently, I’ve written the code that allows the character move, the camera to pivot, and I have a green laser coming off of the camera that changes to red when it comes in contact with the character.

Now, from here, I plan on making a light source that will create a shadow underneath the platform. Hopefully, that won’t take two and a half weeks to get done ;)
